It's been a morning of estrogen for this writer. I spent the last twenty minutes writing about Sex and the City and what do I find next? The Gilmore Girls. Sigh. Well, let me just tie my manhood back real quick and write this piece of news for you.
If you've been keeping up on Gilmore Girls news as of late (and I mean, really, who hasn't), you'll know that showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino has been extremely adamant about keeping her ending for the show a tight-lipped secret. Sherman-Palladino was sort of unceremoniously booted last season from the show she built from the ground up, and it supposedly suffered greatly in her absence. Well, fans of the Sherman-Palladino era have something to smile about. The quote straight from TV Guide's Michael Ausiello:
"Amy explained why she couldn't divulge her long-ago-planned Gilmore ending. In the next year or two, she hopes to make — wait for it — a two-hour Gilmore Girls TV-movie that ties up all those loose threads!"
It isn't set in stone or anything, and there certainly hasn't been any contracts signed or anything, but the fact that Sherman-Palladino is even interested in the idea should moisten you Gilmore dorks special parts.
