October 15, 2007

Written by David Morgan

The internet's a-buzz with the rumors that George Lucas is coming to Los Angeles next week to meet with several freelance writers to discuss the plot of the upcoming live-action Star Wars television series. HollywoodInsider has heard that Lucas is especially interested in talking to writers from other countries and bringing them to Skywalker Ranch, where they will plan out the 13 episode series. Freelance writers? From other countries? It's pretty clear that Lucas is looking to circumvent the Writers Guild of America and their looming strike. The real question on everyone's mind should be: Will this be good or bad for the series?
