News > G4/Mojo get rights to Heroes, bound to do live recap as well

After the dust settled, it looks like Comcast-owned G4 and HD channel Mojo have walked away with the syndication rights to Heroes.

While the full deal doesn't begin until 2010--and, in theory, for the fourth season--G4 will begin airing episodes from the first season during a Oct. 27-28 marathon. They will also air a mini-five episode marathon on Nov. 3rd of the second season, according to .

This is a shock to some, since one would assume an NBC Universal affiliate like Sci Fi Channel, TNT or USA would get the rights. The reason they didn't?

Apparently, none of them--even Spike TV and A&E--were interested in the show.

G4/Mojo is also bound in producing a half-hour, live recap show hosted by Kevin Pereira and Blair Butler on Saturday nights at 11 (!) pm est after airing that week's episode of Heroes at 10 pm. The program re-airs Sunday at 5pm for the Heroes episode and  6 pm for the post show.

The live post show, that will reportedly feature questions from viewers via web-cam and talent interviews, will begin after the Nov. 3 mini-marathon.
