The Oxygen network is launching the "Create-A-Series Comedy Competition" today, says . The contest asks that female comic talents create a "bold, clever series" that appeals to the 18-39 female demographic. The winner gets a 10-13 episode run on SheDidWhat.tv, Oxygen's broadband channel. Molly Shannon will judge the contest which runs through August 31st.

"In addition to receiving a six-month series run, the winning creator will garner a $75,000 production budget and an experienced showrunner to help them develop and produce the series." 75 grand doesn't seem like enough money for 10-13 shows does it? Unless perhaps that's per show, but even then it's pretty low budget. Well, good luck, lady comics. God knows there aren't very many of you. Proportionally speaking anyway.
