News > Lifetime to Produce Horror Miniseries with BSG Scribe

April 24, 2007

reports that David Eick, one of the executive producers of Battlestar Galactica, has been slated to create a four-hour horror miniseries for the Lifetime channel.

The series, called The Gathering, will concern a doctor, his missing wife, and a coven of witches he uncovers while in pursuit for her.

One would usually be inclined to just dismiss this entire miniseries out of hand -- considering it's the Lifetime channel, any given miniseries would probably focus more on the pains of childbirth and womanhood than any actual suspense -- but Eick has proven himself a solid writer and that can't be ignored.
