Spike's new drama The Kill Point will have a companion online video game that is updated weekly based on the events depicted in the series. Developed by Kuma, reports, the video game will allow gamers to take the role of either a cop or a robber during a bank robbery gone wrong. The characters in the game will not look like the ones in the series due to the short development time. The show will star John Leguizamo and Donnie Wahlberg.

I think this is a really intriguing marketing strategy. Obviously only time will tell how well it works, but it's certainly the first of its kind. I wonder about the quality of the show, however. Every week a bank robbery/hostage situation? What city is this taking place in? Gotham? How did bank security become so lax on such a large scale?
