Ahhhh television, the final resting place for actors trying to avoid the frightening title of 'washed-up'.  Kevin Pollak, an actor who's been bottom-feeding like a maniac since his brief role in The Usual Suspects, has joined CBS's James Wood-starring 'Shark'.  is, sigh, reporting that Pollak will play the new LA District Attorney who beat out Jeri Ryan's character, Jessica Devlin, last season.  Pollak is a smarmy seeming little man, who seemingly would be more at home at the two dollar slots in Reno than in a high power lawyer position, but maybe his run in Billy Bob's Dinner Theatre and Titty Club's adaptation of The Joy Luck Club honed his skills a bit .  Ryan's character will now join James Woods'  team of high profile lawyers.

Did somebody say CBS?  Count me uh-uh-out!
