David Keith has joined the cast of CBS's hot new comedy series The Class.

The show revolves around a group of 20-somethings from the same third-grade class brought back together for a surprise reunion after 20 years.

Keith will play Yonk Allen, the affable but dim former pro-football player who is earning millions hawking an indoor barbecue grill and is married to one of the former classmates, Nicole (Andrea Anders).

Keith is probably best known for his Golden Globe-nominated turn as the buddy of Richard Gere's character in the 1982 smash An Officer and a Gentleman. His credits also include the features Daredevil, U-571, and Behind Enemy Lines.
