Upcoming vampire drama Moonlight has gained another new cast member (Sophia Myles was recruited just the other day). Jason Dohring, best known as Veronica's boyfriend on the late Veronica Mars. offered this explanation of Moonlight, and Dohring's character in particular:

 

Alex O'Loughlin stars as a private investigator who happens to be a vampire. Dohring will play ancient vampire Josef. He replaces 60-year-old Rade Serbedzija, who played the part in the pilot presentation before the character was reconceptualized as a young, mischievous hedge-fund trader.

 

I guess Rade Serbedzija's sex appeal must be waning. Too bad. That guy is a quality actor. And his Croatian accent makes him completely believable as a vampire.
