Kiefer Sutherland was arrested yesterday morning for driving under the influence of alcohol, which would be the equivalent of jaywalking in Hollywood except for the fact that Sutherland was already on probation. indicates that Sutherland was arrested for DUI in 2004 as well, and was given a five-year probation. The penalty for violating his probation could be as serious as a year in jail.
Though it is believed that he will finish this season of 24, future seasons could be thrown into disarray if their star is spending several months in jail.
