Zak Penn seems to be about the busiest screenwriter in the business right now. He's recently worked on or been working on screenplays for The Incredible Hulk, The Avengers, and Spy Hunter as well as writing and directing indie comedy The Grand. Now, reports that he's taking on television with his new show Section Eight, which is "said to be a non-serialized take on the action thriller genre that's along the lines of 'Mission: Impossible' and yet very different from that franchise." What a wonderfully vague way to describe something.

Penn is developing the show for Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun, collectively known as BermanBraun (not as catchy as Brangelina). The company has also hired Blake Herron of The Bourne Identity and newcomers Tim and Tom Mullen to develop series of their own.
