News > Veronica Mars Cancelled

May 20, 2007

If you're one of the four people who still watched Veronica Mars on the CW, then you'll be pained (but unsurprised) to know that CW decided to cancel the show

That's right -- after three seasons, the story of a SoCal high school girl with screwed-up eyes who solved crimes was finally axed due to low viewership. Pretty much anyone who watched the show on a regular basis (including Kevin Smith and Joss Whedon) fell in love with it, making it yet another great show that just failed to find a larger audience.

I'd be upset, but I never watched the show in the first place. People called Veronica Mars the "idol to all outcast and pessimistic girls," which would totally make sense if all outcast and pessimistic girls were superintelligent and irritatingly attractive.

Either way, you can always check out the show on DVD -- watch VM and Firefly in the same day and give yourself a case of the cancelled-TV blues.
