The 24 casting news has been flooding in these past two weeks so here are the latest two plus a quick recap.

reports that Jeffrey Nordling (Dirt) and John Billingsley (The Nine, Star Trek: Enterprise) have joined the cast for season seven, which will take place primarily in Washington DC, as opposed to Los Angeles where the first six seasons have unfurled.

Nordling will play an FBI agent named Larry while Billingsley's character will be named Latham, though no other details have surfaced yet.

The other major additions to the cast include Cherry Jones as the U.S. President, Colm Feore as her husband (that guy was born for 24, just look at his IMDb profile picture), and Janeane Garofalo as a government agent of some sort or another.

The show is really trying to pull out all the stops to win back viewers after the sub-par sixth season.
