Freshman series 30 Rock earned itself a much-needed "Outstanding Comedy Series Award." Though the show had meager ratings throughout its first season, it was largely hailed by the critics and by the few fans it had. Tina Fey addressed that very subject when she thanked the show's "dozens and dozens of viewers."

The Sopranos took home "Outstanding Drama Series" for its final season, a rare occurrence. The other major awards were awarded as follows:
