This is not a post about some sort of pretty teen remake of the wonderful Bruce Willis/Cybil Shephard drama 'Moonlighting'.  Rather it's a post about a pretty teen vampire drama entitled 'Moonlight' that Art School Confidential's Sophia Myles has signed up for.  The series, seemingly a pretty blatant rip-off of 'Angel', follows private investigator who's also a vampire and has to deal with all the crappy, crappy things non-evil vampires have to deal with.  You know, unending bloodlust, a life spent entirely at night, the inability to enjoy food, and the insatiable urge to kill non-vampire humans.  Myles will play an internet reporter who wants to get all kinky-dirty with the vampire.  Already the story is pretty unbelievable as I've spent some time with internet 'reporters' and none of them look anything like Sophia Myles.  The show will air on CBS.

It's a pretty strange season shaping up as this is the second vampire show announced this year, the first being David Ball's vampire series.  What is it about vampires?  Did the Hollywood money machine just decide that it was finally time for vampires to get their TV due?  Because if that's the case, how about we shoot for 'ninjas' as next year's theme, and 'rabid dogs' for the year after that.
