It looks like the next Mickey Mouse Club franchise may be in the works. The deal will allow the two companies to cross promote their wares, with Nick TV soundtracks being released on Sony Music to support their hot hot content. The first such deal will involve the release of the soundtrack to the Nickelodeon show The Naked Brothers Band. Sony, in turn, reserves the right to feed young talent to the network for on-screen development.

I completely understand the need for this type of relationship, but it would be nice to see the two of them focus on developing quality talent. The idea of another crappy "tween" singer who can't really, you know, sing (let along act) infesting our precious television airwaves is honestly sickening to me. Perhaps we could start a petition to euthanize the current crop of crappy teen "talent before moving on to the next generation. The line forms to the left.
