Alicia Silverstone is a late arrival at NBC's midseason comedy The Singles Table, which revolves around five strangers who bond after sitting together at a mutual friend's wedding.

After lengthy on-again, off-again negotiations, Silverstone signed on to play one of the strangers, Georgia, a successful doctor who realizes she has a great career but no life.

She replaces Pascale Hutton, who played the part in the pilot. (Hutton has since been cast on ABC's midseason drama series Traveler.) Filming is slated to begin next month.
