Sitcom veteran Sara Gilbert has signed on to star in several episodes of CBS' new comedy "The Class."
The "Roseanne" alum, last seen in the short-lived WB comedy "Twins," will play Fern, a character who pops up from Richie's (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) past. Gilbert has signed for a multi-episode arc on the show, which premieres Sept. 18.
"The Class," from Warner Bros. TV, revolves around young adults who reunite 20 years after meeting in their third-grade classroom. Jason Ritter, Lucy Punch, Heather Goldenhersh, Andrea Anders, Jon Bernthal, Sean Maguire, Lizzy Kaplan, Sam Harris and David Keith also star.
