I'd say alongside Josh Schwartz's 'Chuck' and Spike Lee's 'M.O.N.Y.', I'm not more excited by any upcoming show than David Eick's (executive producer on 'Battlestar Galactica') 'Bionic Woman' remake. Eick was somehow able to cut the cheesy shit out of 'BSG' and turn it in to a riveting, action-packed, social commentary, vastly super-ceding the low expectations set for it. So, his magic hand on the decidedly cheesy 'Bionic Woman' could be a magic touch.
Especially now that Katie Sackhoff (Starbuck from 'BSG') has signed on as a recurring member of the cast. Sackhoff will play a bad Bionic Woman that faces off against Jamie Sommers (Michelle Ryan), the good Bionic Woman. is saying that it was a close call, as Sackhoff had filmed the initial two episodes, but hadn't been offered any sort of extended contract. A real dumbass move by the producers, as Sackoff's face has been plastered on almost every marketing product for the show. At the last minute, NBC swooped down, threw some money in the pretty lady's face, and poof, contract signed.
Hollywood is a magical place. Isn't it?
