James Purefoy (Rome) and Judy Davis (Barton Fink, Husbands and Wives) will topline Diamonds, a $15 million miniseries that explores the "treacherous world of the international diamond trade." describes the plot as following a U.S. senator (Davis) whose daughter is murdered at a diamond mine in Africa. Her search for answers puts her at odds with Lucas Denmont (Purefoy), the son of diamond magnate Piers Denmont (Derek Jacobi).

The film will shoot in London, South Africa, and Canada.
