Fox has announced it will stream the fourth-season premiere of The OC on the Internet beginning October 26, a full week before the November 2 TV airing. The stream will be free and ad-supported on the Web sites of Fox owned-and-operated stations and on the News Corp-owned site Myspace.com.

The network says it will also stream the second OC episode of the new season a week early, and that both episodes will remain on the Web for a week after they air on TV.

OC is the latest TV show to stream on the Web early for free. Previously Fox streamed a seven-minute preview of the Simpsons season premiere, and NBC previewed many of its new fall shows at NBC.com.

The OC suffered a ratings slump last season, and the show has even stiffer competition when it returns to the Thursday 9 p.m. spot this time around. In addition to CBS's CSI and NBC's Deal or No Deal, ABC has moved powerhouse Grey's Anatomy to the same time slot.
