News > Nickelodeon Approves Neopets Shorts

May 31, 2007

Neopets.com may well be the scourge of modern society, to the point where I won't even hyperlink to it.

It is with great dissatisfaction that I inform you, dear reader, that Nickelodeon will be airing Neopets mini-clips on the network come late June. The shorts are 15-60 seconds long and tell stories about characters in the Neopets universe, which just proves that if you pay a company a huge sum of money and make your commercial twice as long, then it isn't a commercial anymore -- it's a "short film."

The clips will also be available on NeoVision, Neopets.com's own  broadband video player. The die-hard Neopets fan will be able to access how-to videos and behind the scenes clips, assuming the die-hard Neopets fan's mother allows them to stay on the Internet for an extra few hours. The die-hard Neopets fan finished his homework early; why can't he just stay on for a little while longer? God, mom, you're such a Nazi.
