The rumor over at Comingsoon.net is that the second season of Heroes is about to begin shooting and there are new characters:

 

They include: a pretty and kind elementary school teacher; a hippie-ish high school chemistry teacher; a Kinko's store manager; a small-time Irish mobster; and a California high school girl who isn't especially athletic.

 

I'll agree, this isn't quite "exciting" news. There's no information about their special abilities, their relationship to the other characters, or whether they'll be heroes or villains. But it's some information, and we'll be sure to keep you posted as things develop.
