Oh ABC. When will you learn? The network has ordered up an six episodes of a gameshow with slightly dubious content. Wanna Bet? is hosted by two British folks, Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnell. The show encourages participants to bet on whether or not they'll be able to successfully perform a series of stunts. Sounds, umm, boring. The show will be produced by the Phil Gurin's production company, Gurin Co., and is set to begin filming in the next few weeks, gearing up for a late '07, early '08 release. I realize that these shows are incredibly high grossing, but I personally wish that the networks would try to pour a bit more capitol into making quality sitcoms/comedy's/dramas, as I've grown incredibly bored and reticent of the game show after game show after game show cycle. Come on, guys. Please step your game up. For me? Pretty please?
