Malik, who spent this spring on FX's "Thief," will spend next spring trying to catch thieves.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Yoba has signed on for a regular gig on NBC's midseason drama "Raines."

The series, which may be arriving sooner rather than later depending on the fate of several NBC dramas, stars Jeff Goldblum as an eccentric cop who talks to dead murder victims. Yoba will play the main character's former partner and current confidant.

In addition to his short run on "Thief," Yoba is probably best known for his time on "New York Undercover," a gig that earned him a trio of NAACP Image Awards.

"Raines" also features Luis Guzman ("Boogie Nights"), Nicole Sullivan ("Hot Properties") and Matt Craven.
