Reality TV > MTV tops itself in the idiotic idea department

April 23, 2007

The super desperate MTV tops itself yet again. The network has talked upcoming rock band Cartel into sealing themselves inside a bubble in the middle of New York City for a month while they record their new album, while they are being video taped at all times.

It's "Behind The Music" meets "Real World" but the whole thing is sponsored by Dr. Pepper and KFC...fantastic! The show, which will be called "Dr. Pepper Band in a Bubble," begins May 24th. The bubble will "burst" on June 12th (hey that's not a month).

Guys, your first idea was your best - a channel that shows music videos. Please return to that format, or else...I'll tell people you're uncool. You don't want me to go there.
