"Ed" star Michael Ian Black, whom you might know from VH1's "I Love" series or Sierra Mist commercials, had his pilot "Michael Ian Black Doesn't Understand" greenlit at Comedy Central.

The series will cash in on Black's ironic relationship with pop culture which was established in episodes of "I Love the '80s." Michael Ian Black got his start with MTV's sketch show "The State" and his old partner Michael Showalter will help produce the show. Michael Ian Black was also the host of the short lived NBC prank show "Spy TV."He's kinda funny, but who keeps giving this dude shows?
