Reality TV > Mark Burnett to Produce Martial Arts Show

June 25, 2007

Mark Burnett is expanding his reality repertoire to now include a show about martial arts. Details of the challenges of the show are scarce (I'm sure Burnett just throws them together haphazardly after coming up with a premise) but according to , Burnett is teaming up with mixed martial arts company ProElite Inc. to develop a primetime program.

Burnett could really use a hit at this point. On the Lot and thinly-veiled Survivor knock-off Pirate Master have been rather unimpressive in the ratings. No doubt about it, he's still a very rich man, but he has to be feeling that squeeze.
