News > Larry the Cable Guy Gets His Own Beer

In the next logical step of his career, white-trash comedian Larry the Cable Guy is having his own beer made. Mike Schilling, owner of SchillingBridge Winery and Microbrewery will be producing 'Git-R-Done beer', telling CNN, 'Rednecks love quality, too.' The beer will supposedly be of a higher grade than other cheap, redneck beers, containing more 'flavor and body' than other suitable counterparts like Keystone, Schlitz, and Schmidts.
It's an understandable progression for Larry the Cable Guy, his love of cheap beer is well chronicled, and his ardent fan base will certainly enjoy drinking the same shitty beer he loves to consume. Hell, I f'n hate Larry the Cable Guy and can often times be found drinking a cold one out of my 'Git-R-Done' beer coozie I snagged on a roadtrip. The problem exists in the fact that beer with Larry the Cable Guy's mug splashed across it, is going to be more expensive than you're average can of the Silver Bullet. It seems likely that 'Git-R-Done' beer will emulate cheaper mainstays like Coors and Schlitz, so how are they going to dupe their fan base in to coughing up the extra four bucks for a sixer of this crap? And what are they going to do when photographs of Larry the Cable Guy passed out next to a pile of Schlitz Ice start popping up on the internet?
Things to think about.
