3.2 millions viewers tuned in to Larry King's post-prison interview with Paris Hilton, more than triple his usual audience, says . CNN promoted the hell out of this thing. Paula Zahn's show had a ticking countdown clock that led into the interview. Anderson Cooper and his panel dissected and demolished Hilton afterwards, much to Cooper's own dismay. But what can you say? There's clearly a demand for Paris Hilton news, so the networks and cable channels keep giving it. Although one could argue that they made us interested in the first place.
