Hercules himself plays a bounty hunter called The Preacher (a nod to Clint Eastwood's Pale Rider) in the upcoming Avenging Angel for, that's right, the Hallmark Channel. Sorbo goes into it further in this TVGuide interview:

Usually Hallmark is sort of along the lines of G movies, but I'd give this more like a PG-13 — I think this is a big step for them. It's Pale Rider meets Death Wish.

He assures us however that it is not as dark as Deadwood.

Sorbo also says he'd love to do a Hercules reunion with Lucy Lawless and Ryan Gosling. But the most concrete news is that he'll be starring in a spoof of 300, (presumably the National Lampoon film we reported on earlier) as well as a small indie film with Matt LeBlanc called Let Go. None of these projects sound promising, but hey, a Sorbo's gotta eat.

Avenging Angel, which is directed by veteran stunt man David Cass, will premiere on Saturday at 9.
