Jennifer Lopez and producing partner Simon Fields have teamed with FX on the half-hour project "Echo Park," a comedic look at the world of yuppie, Latino and hipster cultures within Los Angeles' Echo Park neighborhood.

Variety says Lopez and Fields will executive produce via their Nuyorican Productions. FX has ordered a pilot script from writer Ian Edelman.

Lopez is also producing the MTV series "Moves," a dance-based reality show revolving around six amateur dancers trying to make it into showbiz. MTV has greenlit eight episodes, some of which will feature appearances by Lopez, for the fourth quarter.
