News > Is "Scrubs" cancelled?

During Monday's episode of "Heroes," NBC ran a promo for "Scrubs" that hinted at the upcoming four episodes are the "final episodes" of the sitcom. The spots are vague, possibly on purpose, but it's true that the fate of the show hasn't yet been decided. The network is waiting to view all their pilots before they make any decisions.

"Scrubs" delivers reliable ratings for the network and is a very funny show, so it'd be pretty stupid to replace it with some weak "Heroes" rip off. But Zach Braff's stupid re-up deal for the show is making it waaay too expensive.

ABC has said they're interested in picking up the show if NBC passes, but again, the network said Braff's salary is probably too high.
