Alec Baldwin apparently wants "out" from his contract to NBC and the show "30 Rock" thanks to this damned custody dispute with ex-wife Kim Basinger that was set off because of an angry rant Baldwin left on his 11-year-old daughter's cell phone.
Baldwin told "The View," in a pre-taped interview that will air Friday, that he'd like to spend his time working on the issue of "parental alienation" instead, whatever that may mean. He also claimed he wanted out of the show so that he would spare the hundreds of crew members and the network from being dragged into his scandal.
But execs at NBC say not so fast. They say he's a key member and they '"look forward to having him continue his role on the show."' Yes. He's the big draw for the sitcom and often makes it some of the best moments that have ever appeared in a network comedy program. Alec, we love you...please stay.
