Iranian director Hassan Fathi has created a series for Iranian television called A Zero Degree Turn, about an Iranian boy and a Jewish girl who form an unlikely friendship in 1940s Europe. According to Variety:

Hassan Fathi has tried to avoid the anti-Semitic ramblings of Iranian prexy Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, who has denied the Holocaust and called for the destruction of Israel on numerous occasions, in favor of a more humanist message about how well Iran's Jewish citizens were treated by their hosts.

The producers of the show are hoping to sell the series abroad once its local run is completed. What's that? This show is going to end? Everybody start mailing your nuts!
