News > HBO to Stream 'Flight' Pilot Online

May 17, 2007

reports that HBO will try a slightly unconventional method of debuting their new comedy, Flight of the Conchords -- they're not going to show it on HBO.

The thirty minute pilot will instead be shown online, on HBO and MySpace with an option to embed (meaning you'll see it here on Tubewad before too long), right up until the full series debuts on June 17th.

The move isn't a particularly risky one -- all buzz is good buzz, and Internet people love free TV shows -- but it's definitely an interesting method of raising hype for a new show, and one we'd undoubtedly like to see more of.
