News > HBO renews Entourage

August 17, 2007

Thank the lord. TVGuide is reporting that HBO has agreed to renew their contract for the hit show Entourage. The show is now certain to return for a 5th season next year. There's no question that Entourage is not the wittiest, deepest, most artistically engaging show on TV. That said, it is undeniably one of the most enjoyable to watch. Mark Wahlberg and Co. have created a truly engaging world, one that seems to be universally appealing. The show does have a bit of a limited scope, in that it's sort of limited to following these guys as the traipse around Hollywood, living one good life after another. That said, I'm happy to indulge them, and have no objection to watching this sort of plot line vaguely repeat itself time and time again. It's just so damn fun. Expect the 2008 season to debut next Spring.
