News > Grazer Signs Up for FBI

August 8, 2007

reports that Brian Grazer of Imagine is creating an FBI drama series and has landed a commitment from Fox. "I like making movies about heroes," said Grazer, pointing to Imagine projects such as Backdraft and Apollo 13. "Selfless people willing to protect the city, the state or the world is interesting to me." The producers intend the characters to be "noble but flawed" but in a "noncorny way." Well, it's a good thing you specified that they would be noncorny. It sounds like Fox is trying to get a taste of some more of that 24 pie. Law enforcement shows are a dime a dozen, they're really going to need to show us something different to make this one work.
