News > Fox going Green?

May 17, 2007

Whoa. Here's one for the books. , it looks like FOX TV, Rupert Murdoch/News Corps[e] conservative mouthpiece, is making an effort to reduce upfront carbon emissions at this year's Upfront celebration in New Yawk. This is either a sign of the apocalypse, a sign that the Right is finally fessing up to the realities of global warming, or some sort of twisted publicity stunt. Methinks the latter is most likely. Either way, viewers won't notice much of a difference, as most of the changes will be taking place on the production side of things. As just one example, the network will be powering their publicity and party set ups with - gasp - bio-diesel. I never thought I would say this, but kudos to you, FOX. Ouch. That really hurt my pride.
