Rick Fox has signed on for a multiepisode arc on FX's upcoming drama series "Dirt," in which he'll portray a star basketball player. Fox happens to be a former pro basketball player but will not be playing himself on the show, which stars Courteney Cox as the editor of a tabloid magazine. His character is described as a high-profile basketball player who has marital problems. FX ordered a full 13-episode season of the drama series in June (HR 6/5). The show is targeted to go into production next month(sept) for an early 2007 premiere date.
