Flash Gordon, the live-action science fiction series set to debut this August on the Sci-Fi channel, is receiving the "First Look" treatment courtesy of series star Eric Johnson. Johnson fills EW in on a number of juicy tidbits about the upcoming series. Not really a typical first look, as there aren't an damn clips, but Johnson does drop some knowledge on our asses. Among the highlights:
Flash Gordon the series character will not be Flash Gordon the comic book character. A number of changes and "artistic liberties" have been made/taken. Hmmm...
Flash Gordon wears jeans and a t-shirt when not on duty.
Flash Gordon drives a '67 Firebird.
