News > Dr. Burke May Be Returning To 'Grey's Anatomy'

After his anti-gay comments earlier this season, every one thought that popular Grey's Anatomy actor Isiah Washington was going to be hitting the streets come season's end.  Though I haven't seen it, the season finale seemingly nicely opened the gates for the gay-hating actor to calmly and quietly step down from his fake doctor position.  Now the actor's rep is claiming that Dr. Preston Burke will be throwing his scrubs back on and returning to the show for next season.

The rep states: "We fully expect to be back. The deal's not done, but we have no reason to believe he won't be putting on the scrubs."  As of yet, ABC hasn't said anything either way.  Due to my intense hatred for everything related to Grey's, the only news I garnered about the incident and its aftermath was from the fronts of seedy tabloids, so I'm not exactly a bastion of knowledge on the minute details.  No matter what his opinions on gays are though, Isiah Washington's character continued to be a fan favorite, and fan favorite equals money, and everyone knows that ABC loves itself some money.   So, I'm sure Mr. Washington will be stepping back into the role.

On another note, I don't care - at all.
