November 29, 2007

The Democratic National Committee pulled the plug on the CBS News-Sponsored debate scheduled to take place on December 10th. The cause is the unwillingness of the Democratic candidates to cross the picket lines.

CBS said in a statement, "The possibility of picket lines set up by the Writers Guild of America and the unwillingness of many candidates to cross them made it necessary to allow the candidates to make other plans."

CBS requested of the WGA East that they temporarily halt picketing on December 10th, but their request was met with silence.
