Despite a wild rumor from the UK tabloid The Sun last week, David Bowie won't be appearing on Doctor Who anytime soon.  The BBC comes back with the report that Bowie was supposed to play an alien in the 1980s series who kidnapped Agatha Christie, but nothing ever came of it.

From Bowie's website, he calls the idea "absolute tish tosh."
