News > CBS Hits the Net

April 12, 2007

I've vocalized my disdain for CBS in the past.  I think their programming is aimed at old people and low-brow idiots, but I think this news is a step in the right direction.  The network has announced that they'll be launching the CBS Interactive Audience Network, a partnership with some big names (i.e. AOL, Joost, Microsoft and Comcast) that'll spread their programming, free of charge all over the net.  CBS will be streaming full episodes of its big hits like "CSI" and all its devil-spawned ilk as well as compressed versions of its news and sports shows.

I'm glad that networks are realizing that the internet is here to stay and that if they don't use it to their advantage, it's just going to screw 'em in the end.
