According to , someone named Jack Carpenter is "the breakout star of NBC's comedy pilot Lipshitz Saves the World." He must have done pretty well with this gig because he's just snagged two more. The first of which is a half hour comedy pilot for Comedy Central called Held Up. In this show Carpenter plays a "bored bank teller" who is held up by two sets of bank robbers, one gang dressed as the Three Stooges and the other as James Bond, Batman, and Spider-man. The show professes to depict the lighter side of Stockholm Syndrome. Aaron Hendry, Bree Turner, and Jeremiah Birkett round off the cast.

The other show is a midseason comedy for Fox called The Return of Jezebel James. Parker Posey plays Sarah, a book editor who cannot get pregnant and asks her sister Coco (played by Lauren Ambrose) to carry her child for her. Carpenter will play a role written for him (who is this guy?), Coco's ex-boyfriend.

Well, kudos, Mr. Carpenter.
