News > Bruckheimer & Cannon Creating Action Series

October 17, 2006

Content taken from Coming Soon:

Jerry Bruckheimer and original "CSI" director Danny Cannon are teaming to executive produce an untitled National Treasure-esque action-adventure hour about a wealthy benefactor funding a team of archaeologists to find artifacts. Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, currently working on Iron Man, will write the pilot and get a production credit.

Cannon is attached to direct the CBS project if it gets a greenlight. Warner Bros. TV is producing via Jerry Bruckheimer Television, run by president Jonathan Littman.

Bruckheimer personally picked Cannon to direct the "CSI" pilot, suggesting him to CBS after seeing some of his film work. Cannon, who's an executive producer on all the "CSI" series, has directed several features, including Goal! The Dream Begins and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
