Comedian Bernie Mac is developing a concert film and a series of Dean Martin-style celebrity roast DVDs under a new production deal with indie producer Lionsgate.

A minimum of four roast DVDs will be produced, and Mac will serve as the host. Details of the concert film were unavailable.

Lionsgate's deal with Mac marks the first time it has partnered with an actor's production company. Mac formed MacMan Entertainment with his producing partner Steven Greener. Their two-year deal has an option for a third year.

Lionsgate gave Mac his first dramatic role in Pride, a 1970s-set inspirational drama in which he costars with Terrence Howard. The movie recently wrapped production.

Mac earned a pair of Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his work on Fox's The Bernie Mac Show, and gained attention in the comedy concert film The Original Kings of Comedy. He is shooting Ocean's Thirteen and Transformers.
