That didn't take long, did it, Bob? It look likes Bob Barker might be gunning for the "shortest retirement ever" prize, beating out Michael Jordan and Jay-Z by a New York mile. The legendary game show host was supposed to give up the reigns to his dynasty-worth The Price is Right effective immediately, with the final Barker-hosted episode airing in just over a week. It looks like CBS might be having some trouble filling the big man's shoes, and Barker has publicly stated that he would be happy to continue to host the show until the network is able to find a suitable replacement. What a guy! My personal feeling is that they should simply let the show die with Barker's exit. The Price is Right is synonymous with Barker's name. The show without him is, for want of a better description, useless. That being said, it's impressive to see a guy so supportive of the network that employs him that he will go so far as to come out of retirement before it begins. That's some goddamn loyalty.
