News > ABC Debuts 'National Bingo Night'

May 9, 2007

People throw around the phrase "television has hit a new low" quite a bit (especially since the premiere of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader), but the cliche almost immediately comes to mind when considering ABC's newest game show.

According to TV Guide, National Bingo Night is exactly what it sounds like -- namely, a live, nationwide game of bingo where viewers can redeem their scorecards by typing in serial numbers at ABC.com.

Thank God -- I love bingo, but the thought of going somewhere to play it and actually having to interact with 60-year-old women at a Church on Wednesday nights drives me absolutely bonkers.

Wait, sorry: I just realized bingo is ridiculous in any incarnation.
